Who we are?
Zabalazar Environmental (“Zabalazar”) is a newly – founded 100% B-BBEE company established by black professionals with a common interest and ambition to pursue opportunities in the waste-to- energy and wasteto-products arena. This includes environmentally friendly “green” chemicals manufacturing as well as energy based on recycled materials and waste.
Zabalazar has incorporated two entities, i.e. Hobbitt Chemical Technologies (“Hobbitt”) and Bronberrik Specialty Chemicals (“Bronberrik”) as vehicles to pursue the company objectives by promoting the identified projects. Hobbitt was established to primarily focus on recycling and environmental management solutions; and Bronberrik was established to primarily focus on manufacturing of bio-based materials based on recycled and waste products.
Zabalazar is founded on the spirit of diversity and co-operation, embracing and supporting all of public and private sectors’ initiatives for economic and social transformation of the country. Initiatives by Zabalazar are in the spirit of the Black Industrialists development framework set out by the Department of Trade and Industry.
